Summary:

Systems Engineer

Summary:
The Systems/Network Engineer position oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems in HealthStream’s 24/7 high-capacity production environment. HealthStream’s information systems include Dell, Windows, Cisco, F5, CheckPoint/Nokia MS SQL Server, and Windows Server(all verions). Also: Microsoft Cluster Server, IIS, MS .NET. ASP.NET, Active Directory, SNMP, network capture and protocol analysis; MS Office including proficiency in Visio Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, BGP, SMTP. Business Analyst

Summary:
The Business Analyst position will be based in our corporate Nashville home office and core responsibilities will be to foster a collaborative environment where the real business needs of the customers are understood and solutions are generated to satisfy those business needs. The Ideal candidate will lead and facilitate open-ended requirements discussions with a variety of audiences: one-on-one interviews, small group discussions, collaborative workshops, etc. to elicit/uncover requirements, and builds consensus amongst diverse team members in light of differing or competing viewpoints. Ina strategist role, partners with business owners/product owners to shape the overall vision and scope of products. In Architect/Designer role, creates appropriate diagrams, models, and prototypes to communicate business concepts and workflows. In Tactical Implementer role, produces accurate requirements artifacts that are appropriate and the correct level of detail for various audiences, team compositions, and projects and works with the team to continuously refine and update requirements artifacts and ensure requirements repositories are current and accurate throughout project lifecycle. Associate Systems Developer 
Location: Nashville, TN
Summary:
The position works with the Systems group to understand internal and external customer needs, identify requirements, and create solutions. It also works closely with Quality Analysis and project team members on various phases of each project. The right person will have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions then develop quality, defect free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Experience with two or more of the following: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or greater, ASP.Net, SQL, and C#.
- Experience with object-oriented software design.
- Web application development experience preferred.

Technical Writer 
Location: Nashville, TN
Summary:
The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation to support effective customer utilization of HealthStream products, and for developing multi-media training materials and collaterals using a variety of software programs. Position works closely with Training department under Senior Director of Training and offers support to other HealthStream departments as needed. Some of the essential duties are: manage and maintain an inventory of all documentation, including archiving prior versions of current active documents, maintain RoboHelp online help platform (or other help system software) to ensure that it is constantly up-to-date and fully-functional, test HealthStream software applications to ensure accuracy and consistency of documentation, research technical information for use in documentation by meeting with programmers, developers, business analysts, project managers and others as necessary, develop adjunct training support materials such as flash tutorials (with and without voiceover), author online content and other materials using a variety of development tools, and develop job aids for customer-facing staff. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:
- Minimum 3-5 years technical writing experience, Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Information Systems or related field.
- Experience developing training materials using a variety of media formats.
- Prior use of online Help tools such as RoboHelp, and development tools such as Flash, Captivate, Contribute or other similar product.

Data Processing Assistant 
Location: Laurel, Maryland
Summary:
This is a bilingual English/Spanish position. The position performs a wide variety of data processing functions under the supervision of the Director of Data Management and the Team Lead. Responsibilities include: transcribing voice files, coding respondent comments, proofing Spanish programming, and translating new questions/surveys. In addition, this position will be required to track and accurately maintain all projects, and perform various coding duties such as assignment of appropriate code category to respondent comments, clean/edit responses when necessary, and extract data from collection application when necessary. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:
- High School Diploma and 1-2 years professional related experience.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite software.

Senior Data Analyst 
Location: Laurel, Maryland
Summary:
This position performs a wide variety of data processing functions under the supervision of the Director of Data Management. Major responsibilities include: (1) trouble shooting technical and data issues, (2) special requests and data manipulation as needed, (3) Generating cross tabs for various study types. In addition, this position will have various data management and tabulation responsibilities such as identifying and analyzing project objectives then developing innovative, efficient solutions for accomplishing required data processing, data base management and specialized report generation tasks, providing specialized data and advanced research programming support as necessary within department and in cross-functional teams, manipulation, edit, and formatting of data, writing table specifications & run cross tabs using WinCross & SPSS. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:

CATI Programmer 
Location: Laurel, Maryland
Summary:
Works under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Data Management in Laurel, MD, the CATI Programmer is primarily responsible for the development, debugging, and implementation of electronic surveys for the CATI programming methodology. The incumbent will be responsible for programming and testing small to large-scale market research surveys in a Windows environment. Specifically, the position will work closely with the programming department lead to implement processes, review/critique survey questionnaires and formulate recommendations to ensure efficient programming and optimal data layout, and incorporate questionnaire changes in an accurate and timely manner. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:
- AA degree or college work in appropriate field and 1-2 years professional related experience.
- Ability to perform all programming functions for any project assigned, regardless of complexity, resulting in accurate data collection.

Production Team Member 
Location: Franklin, TN
Summary:
The Production Team Member will report to the Director, Mail Operations. Primary responsibilities include (1) performing production duties accurately and efficiently, (2) assisting operations and other HSR personnel as necessary, (3) answering incoming calls and positively representing the company to clients. Specifically, some of the primary job duties are: assist Start Up Coordinator as needed (enter start up information, assemble, mail/fax, etc.), assist Survey Development & Reporting as needed (Web QA, report checks), print, fold, and compile surveys using required equipment, open, process, and sort production’s incoming mail and packages, enter returned surveys by scanner or data entryRequired skills and experience includes but is not limited to:

Customer Service Specialist 
Location: Nashville, TN
Summary:
The Customer Service Specialist will provide technical and general operational support to customers via phone and e-mail. They will answer incoming customer service calls and e-mails, logging calls/cases with appropriate detail, escalate advanced customer inquiries or system administrator issues to the operations teams (Tier 2, Operations Specialists or Operations Manager) as appropriate, follow-up with customers on open Customer Care calls and defects until closed, and staff Customer Service line for extra hours after maintenance downtime. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); some college preferred;
- 2-3 years customer service experience in a call center environment, including 1-2 years of technical troubleshooting experience.
- Must be able to pass HLC certification training in first 6 months of employment.

Marketing Coordinator, Database Marketing 
Location: Nashville, TN
Summary:
This position reports to the Manager of Data and Research Management, and is responsible for maximizing HealthStream’s customer database (SalesForce.com) as it relates to campaign and customer management. The primary duties of this position include: analyzing marketing activity and responses to campaigns, determining campaign effectiveness and driving revenue through reports, analysis, and recommendations. In addition, it includes pulling targeted lists from SalesForce, updating contacts and account information, cleaning the database of duplicate and/or inactive contacts and accounts, maintaining lead generation efforts, ensuring data integrity. The Marketing Coordinator must be self-motivated, possess a strong analytical mindset, be comfortable working in teams and communicating with various levels of management - strong communication and analytical skills are a must. They must have exceptional project management skills and strong experience with SalesForce.com or another similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. Familiarity with lead scoring processes and scoring marketing campaigns, web analytics, documenting processes, and training individuals on CRM processes is important. Required skills and experience includes but is not limited to:
- BS or BA degree required.

Sales Associate 
Location: Nashville, TN
Summary:
These positions report to the AVP of Market Development and each have different markets and specialty areas. For one of these openings, candidate experience selling to the EMS or EMT market is viewed as preferred and should be highlighted when applying. Candidates should be able to prove a consistent record of accomplishment of progressive quota-meeting sales experience with a similar sales cycle time as our HLC product (approximately 3-6 months). These positions require maintaining and owning assigned territory, making both cold and warm calls, meeting established quotas, maintaining pipeline of new business, attending and participating in trade shows, presenting live or via Web Ex presentations on the product, and entering client data into Sales Force database. Ideal candidates will thrive in a base plus commission compensation structure and self-sufficient environment.
