Course Description: Incident command should be used on every call in order for it to be effective on major incidents. This course describes the process for planning for an incident, lists the responsibilities of each command officer, addresses categorization of patients and the appropriate resources necessary to establish a medical command system.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: - Describe the process of planning for an incident.
- List the responsibilities of each command officer.
- Determine the appropriate triage category for a specified patient, given a scenario.
- Determine the appropriate resources and action plan necessary to establish medical incident command, given a scenario.
