  • Demonstrate a knowledge of the classification of glands, hormones, and their actions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the dosage, indications, and side effects of drugs used to manage common endocrine emergencies.
  • Given a list of symptoms and signs, distinguish between the patient who is hypoglycemic and the patient who is hyperglycemic.
  • Given a list of symptoms and signs garnered from a focused physical assessment, formulate an initial intervention plan for appropriately managing a patient who is experiencing a diabetic emergency.
