MD
Digests is a vast collection of evidence summaries from five major medical
journals. Each MD Digest includes not only an evidence summary, but
also informative, authoritative Related Links to other internet resources,
and carefully prepared Related Literature Searches. Published twice
weekly, MD Digests helps physicians keep current by reviewing the latest
medical research.
MD
Digest
Each MD Digest aims to answer a clinical question based on evidence
gathered from a recently published study. Our MD Digest editors, based
in Cambridge, England, carefully select articles from the Lancet, the
New England Journal of Medicine, BMJ, JAMA, and Annals of Internal Medicine
which have particular influence on the way you practice medicine. The
evidence presented in these articles is then presented in a convenient
abstract, and the article references are included in the abstract so
that you may research the topic further.
Related
Links
HealthStream's Knowledge Manager carefully researches Internet resources
to bring you the most relevant clinical and educational information
on each MD Digest topic. Conveniently categorized as either "Patient
Education" or "Practice Information," each Related Link provides supplementary
information to the evidence summary.
Related
Literature Searches
Related Literature Searches are prepared Medline queries, composed by
a medical librarian, which yield articles pertaining to a particular
facet of each MD Digest topic. Each Related Literature Search will take
users to PubMed, where they will be able to view the results of our
research.
