The NRP™ Online Examination, 6th Edition, delivered via the HealthStream Learning Center (HLC) or HealthStream Express platforms serves as a prerequisite to attending AAP’s instructor-led course. Completing the examination does not satisfy all course requirements.
The instructor-led course itself is not managed or delivered through the HLC or Express. AAP allows students 14 days to complete the examination once it is begun. If students are not able to complete the examination within 14 days of starting, they will need to re-start the exam. This will require the student purchase another license for the exam.
Students must also complete their instructor led training within 30 days of completing the examination.
Recommended Practice
The NRP™ Online Examination, 6th Edition, should be delivered by as a one-time, individual assignment to students who are required to complete the NRP. Recurring assignments are not recommended, as future recurrences may not coincide with available NRP instructor-led course dates.
