Steele Memorial Medical Center is a full-service critical access hospital with nearly 700 employees, so keeping track of exclusions, licenses, and certifications was becoming an overwhelming task. They wanted to find a solution that wouldn't consume the HR team's valuable time and attention.
Challenge
The team had been relying on a large, complex spreadsheet to manage employee credentials. Running reports, updating records, and verifying credentials manually was inefficient given their large and growing workforce. They wanted to quickly pull accurate, real-time data and run reports while also freeing up time for other tasks.
Solution
When Steele Memorial brought on RQI for their resuscitation quality improvement efforts, this opened up the possibility to transition to Workforce Validate. With employee Information was already within the HealthStream profile, adding a specialized validation solution made sense.
Results
Implementation of Workforce Validate is ongoing, but real Improvements are already emerging. The dashboard provides a clear, immediate view of workforce compliance, allowing visibility into employee credential status and less time spent digging for information. As the team continues to cleanup and align the old system to better take advantage of the automated validation tools, they fully expect to see even more gains in efficiency.
