Woman’s Hospital specializes in the care of women and infants, including an 84-bed NICU, and has more than 2000 employees. The facility wanted to provide a source of education and certification prep that included multiple disciplines. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on in-person training, leadership was particularly interested in a solution that would keep costs down but also allow online training and self-enrollment for staff.
CEPath was chosen because it checked all the boxes and also allowed them the option to supplement content. The setup time was also attractive, as they wanted to have something in place for their skills fair. With the support materials provided by HealthStream, they were able to be up and running in time.
During the rollout, CEPath was utilized as an incentive for fulltime staff to gain interest in the program. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, resulting in a large number of self enrollments and course completions. The depth of specialty material is also a plus, with some departments mapping out courses for the entire year and looking at ways to improve certification rates for staff.
