Clinical Judgment MI Assessment Reduces CMS Mortality Rate from Myocardial Infarction

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) evaluate acute care hospitals on several quality measures such as mortality, safety of care, readmission rates, patient experience, and timely and effective care. An educated nursing staff plays a crucial role in maintaining these quality standards, particularly in reducing myocardial infarction (MI) patient mortality rates through prompt and evidence-based interventions. HealthStream’s jane AI™ Clinical Judgment Assessment is a tool designed to identify and address gaps in clinical judgment, aiming to improve the quality of patient care. This study explored the correlation between the scores from jane and the CMS-reported mortality rate for MI patients.
