The ANCC’s 2026 NCPD accreditation update fundamentally reshapes how healthcare organizations document, design, and report continuing professional development activities. The revised criteria introduce more rigorous expectations across all eight Educational Design Process elements—from identifying professional practice gaps (EDP 1) through evaluating outcomes and educational effectiveness (EDP 8)—and place a heightened emphasis on evidence-based planning, interprofessional alignment, and standardized NARS reporting. For accreditation teams, this means updating workflows, retooling activity files, retraining nurse planners, and ensuring audit-ready documentation across every NCPD activity—all before July 1. Organizations that are not prepared risk jeopardized accreditation status, failed site reviews, or costly remediation efforts.

FutureReady NCPD is designed to answer the most pressing questions education leaders have right now:

  • What exactly is changing in EDPs 1–8, and what does compliant documentation look like
    under the new criteria?
  • How do we efficiently update our activity files without rebuilding processes from scratch?
  • How can technology reduce the manual burden of NARS reporting and cross-system data
    alignment?

In this session, HealthStream’s CloudCME product experts will walk through the platform’s enhanced Application and Activity Editor—purpose-built to support every EDP requirement—and demonstrate how built-in NARS alignment for Activity Types, Delivery Methods, and Reporting Professions simplifies compliance documentation across the full activity lifecycle. Attendees will leave with:

  • A clear, criteria-by-criteria understanding of what the 2026 ANCC updates require
  • A live demonstration of how CloudCME’s new workflows address each EDP element
  • Practical transition checklist and preparation steps for the July 2026 deadline
  • A roadmap for ensuring ongoing audit readiness with automated, NARS-aligned reporting
  • Access to a post-webinar Q&A with CloudCME product specialists
