COVID-19 Standup

For now, CMS has suspended non-emergency survey inspections, allowing providers to focus on the most critical health and safety threats at hand. When surveys resume, CMS announced it will focus heavily on infection prevention and control. To prepare, CMS is strongly advising nursing homes to use its just-released COVID-19 survey to self-assess their ability to prevent transmission. This documentation may be requested by surveyors if an onsite investigation is conducted.
